Domains to Allow in your Firewall

If you're using a computer on a network managed by your workplace or university, your organisation's firewall may block TalkType from working correctly.

What's a firewall?

A firewall is a network security process that monitors and filters incoming and outgoing network traffic. It can restrict access to certain domains.

Which domains do I need to allow?

TalkType needs to connect to some domains to work properly. These domains are:

  • transcriber.carescribe.io

  • transcriber-talktype.carescribe.io
  • api.talk-type.com

  • captioned.talk-type.com

  • connect.carescribe.io
  • api.captioned.carescribe.io

  • carescribe.io

  • caption-ed.com

  • talk-type.com

Check with your organisation's IT team that these domains have been whitelisted for full access.

Also, ensure that TalkType has been whitelisted for your antivirus program.
