It is important to know what version of TalkType you use, as updates often fix bugs and introduce new features and functionality.
How to view what version of TalkType you are on depends on your operating system.
The latest version of TalkType is version 3.5.1
MacOS
This guide will show you how to determine which version of TalkType you are using on MacOS.
- You need to open TalkType, and click on the TalkType button in the top left-hand corner.
- There will be a drop-down menu; then, you need to click on About TalkType.
- Then, a screen that tells you what version of TalkType you are on should pop up.

Windows

- Open Settings
- Click on Apps in the sidebar
- Click on Installed Apps in the list that appears
- Type "TalkType" into the search bar above the list of apps
- This should then show you what version of TalkType you are using

Update Available
If an update is available within TalkType, you will see a blue banner at the bottom of your screen. Click on "Update available" to automatically update your TalkType version to the latest version.
